Sharon Silverman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in both New Jersey and New York who brings over twenty years of experience to her work with adolescents, young adults, and families. She has spent much of her career in specialized school settings, supporting neurodivergent teens as they navigate challenges with communication, emotional regulation, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and learning differences.
Sharon also has a deep commitment to working with teens and adults whose lives have been shaped by adoption. She understands that adoption-related trauma is a deeply personal and often complex experience that can influence identity, feelings of belonging, grief, and relationships across the lifespan. Sharon approaches this work with sensitivity and respect, honoring each individual’s unique story.
At the heart of Sharon’s therapeutic approach is the creation of a compassionate, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. She values authentic expression and thoughtful communication, helping clients build insight, resilience, and a stronger connection to themselves and others.
