Stephen Krause, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker at MedPsych Behavioral Health, serving both the Ramsey and Glen Rock locations. He earned his BSW and MSW from Ramapo College.
Stephen specializes in empowering teens, young adults, and families to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Through a collaborative approach, he helps patients manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and strengthening family roles and dynamics. His experience extends to supporting individuals and their families through substance use recovery, having worked extensively in both partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.
Creating a safe, judgment-free environment, Stephen combines evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing with genuine connection. He partners with patients to develop practical coping strategies, strengthen self-advocacy skills, and improve family functioning. Stephen’s patients appreciate his ability to help them discover their own solutions while working at a pace that feels right for them.
